What Changed Since January

The top 25 saw major turnover this month. 13 companies are new entrants compared to January's ranking, while several previous fixtures dropped out entirely.

Biggest movers up:

  • Bosch Group jumped from #4 (57 jobs) to #1 (83 jobs) — a 46% increase in listings
  • Jerry climbed from #3 to #2, adding 14 more positions (60 to 74)
  • Experian expanded from 29 to 36 listings, pushing from #14 to #14 while the bar for entry rose
  • Okta grew from 24 to 29 positions with a noticeable shift toward remote-friendly roles

New to the top 25:

  • truelogic.io (40 jobs, 100% remote) — Latin American staffing and outsourcing firm, entirely distributed
  • Monks (39 jobs, 77% remote) — digital services company formerly known as MediaMonks
  • Kraken (26 jobs, 100% remote) — cryptocurrency exchange with a fully remote workforce
  • Vanta (24 jobs, 100% remote) — security compliance automation, a fast-growing category

Dropped from January's top 25: ClickHouse, Cribl, and Airwallex fell below the cutoff. The threshold for the top 25 rose from 22 jobs in January to 24 in February, reflecting the overall market expansion.

Remote-First Companies

Six companies in the top 25 hire on a fully remote basis this month — up from four in January. If working from anywhere is your priority, these are the employers to watch:

100% Remote:

  • truelogic.io (40 positions) — Staffing platform connecting Latin American engineers with global companies, all roles distributed
  • ClickUp (39 positions) — Productivity and project management platform, hiring across the US, Canada, and Europe. Salaries of $186K-$224K make this the highest-paying fully remote employer
  • Deel (28 positions) — Global payroll and compliance platform, positions span 7+ countries
  • Coinbase (27 positions) — Cryptocurrency exchange, US and Canada focus, $174K-$205K range
  • Kraken (26 positions) — Cryptocurrency exchange with a long track record of remote-first culture
  • Vanta (24 positions) — Security compliance automation helping companies achieve SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other certifications

90%+ Remote:

  • Jerry (74 positions, 93% remote) — AI-powered car ownership platform covering insurance, financing, and maintenance
  • Samsara (61 positions, 89% remote) — IoT fleet management and industrial operations, $136K-$229K range

The pattern is clear: remote-first companies aren't just startups anymore. Deel and Coinbase are established players, and truelogic.io exists precisely because companies want access to distributed talent pools. Highest Paying Companies

For developers prioritizing compensation, these employers offer the most competitive packages among this month's top 25:

CompanySalary RangeRemoteNotes
Mapbox$219K-$296K4%Mapping and location APIs, mostly on-site
Kyndryl$125K-$263K3%IT infrastructure services, wide band reflects seniority spread
Anduril$184K-$250K0%Defense technology, all positions on-site
Okta$159K-$236K62%Identity and access management, strong hybrid options
Samsara$136K-$229K89%IoT platform, highest-paying remote-friendly option
Workday$153K-$230K0%HR and finance software, requires office presence
ClickUp$186K-$224K100%Best combination of pay and full remote

Mapbox holds steady as the highest-paying TypeScript employer for the second consecutive month. Their mapping and location platform requires deep technical expertise, and the compensation reflects it. Anduril continues to demonstrate that defense technology pays a premium — $184K-$250K with zero remote flexibility.

The most interesting data point is Kyndryl, the IT infrastructure services firm spun off from IBM. Their $125K-$263K range is the widest on the list, suggesting they're hiring across a broad spectrum from mid-level to principal engineers.

By Industry

IoT, Industrial, and Hardware

The largest concentration of jobs this month comes from companies bridging software and physical operations:

  • Bosch Group (83 jobs) — Global engineering and technology conglomerate spanning automotive, industrial, and consumer products
  • Samsara (61 jobs) — IoT fleet management and industrial operations
  • Rockwell Automation (50 jobs) — Industrial automation and control systems

These three companies alone account for 194 positions. TypeScript is increasingly the language of dashboards, monitoring systems, and operational interfaces for physical infrastructure. Expect real-time data visualization and embedded systems constraints to appear in interviews.

Fintech, Crypto, and Payments

Financial technology remains a powerhouse for TypeScript hiring, and this month the crypto sector expanded significantly:

  • BitGo (47 jobs) — Institutional digital asset custody and security
  • Deel (28 jobs) — Global payroll and compliance
  • Coinbase (27 jobs) — Consumer and institutional cryptocurrency exchange
  • Kraken (26 jobs) — Cryptocurrency exchange with a security-first reputation

Crypto and payments companies continue to lean heavily into remote work. Coinbase and Kraken are both 100% remote, while BitGo bucks the trend by requiring office presence. If you're interested in most in-demand TypeScript skills, fintech employers especially value experience with real-time systems, security, and compliance tooling.

Infrastructure and Developer Tools

Companies building the platforms other developers depend on:

  • Cloudflare (73 jobs) — CDN, edge computing, Workers serverless platform
  • MongoDB (27 jobs) — Document database with a strong Node.js ecosystem
  • Mapbox (25 jobs) — Mapping and location APIs for developers

Cloudflare remains a massive TypeScript employer even after dropping from #1, reflecting ongoing investment in their edge computing and developer tools ecosystem.

Enterprise Software and Services

Large-scale B2B platforms with stable TypeScript demand:

  • Wolters Kluwer (46 jobs) — Global information services for legal, tax, and healthcare professionals
  • Diligent Corporation (43 jobs) — Governance, risk, and compliance software for boards and executives
  • Experian (36 jobs) — Credit reporting and data services
  • Kyndryl (32 jobs) — IT infrastructure services, spun off from IBM
  • NICE (31 jobs) — Enterprise AI and customer experience solutions
  • Workday (27 jobs) — HR and finance cloud software

Enterprise companies offer stability, comprehensive benefits, and well-defined career ladders. Remote percentages tend to be lower — most prefer hybrid or in-office — but salaries at the senior level are competitive.

Defense and Security

Premium compensation for specialized work:

  • Anduril (53 jobs) — Autonomous defense systems, US and Australia
  • Okta (29 jobs) — Identity and access management
  • Vanta (24 jobs) — Security compliance automation

Anduril grew from 51 to 53 positions, maintaining its position as one of the highest-paying TypeScript employers. Vanta is a new entrant and an interesting contrast: fully remote with a focus on helping companies automate their security compliance programs.

AI and Emerging Tech

AI companies building products powered by TypeScript frontends and APIs:

  • Jerry (74 jobs) — AI-powered car ownership super-app covering insurance, financing, and maintenance
  • Sierra (46 jobs) — AI customer experience platform founded by former Salesforce and Google executives

Both of these companies rely on TypeScript to build the interfaces and APIs that sit in front of their AI models. As AI products mature, the need for polished, reliable TypeScript applications only grows.

Digital Services and Staffing

Companies focused on talent and agency work:

  • truelogic.io (40 jobs) — Latin American staffing and outsourcing platform, 100% remote
  • Monks (39 jobs) — Digital-first marketing and technology agency (formerly MediaMonks), 77% remote

Healthcare

  • Doctolib (25 jobs) — Europe's largest healthcare appointment platform, concentrated in France and Germany

What This Means for Job Seekers

If you want remote work

Your options have expanded. Six companies now offer 100% remote positions, up from four in January. ClickUp, Deel, Coinbase, Kraken, Vanta, and truelogic.io have all committed to distributed teams. For the best combination of remote work and high pay, ClickUp at $186K-$224K is hard to beat.

If you want maximum compensation

Mapbox ($219K-$296K), Anduril ($184K-$250K), and Kyndryl (up to $263K at the top end) lead on salary. Most of these require office presence, though Okta at $159K-$236K offers a hybrid compromise.

If you want stability

Enterprise incumbents like Workday, Wolters Kluwer, Experian, and Bosch Group offer established products, predictable roadmaps, and comprehensive benefits. Bosch Group alone has 83 positions — the most of any employer this month.

If you want cutting-edge tech

Cloudflare (edge computing), MongoDB (databases), Sierra (AI agents), and Mapbox (geospatial) all work on technically demanding problems at scale. These roles reward deep expertise in performance optimization, systems design, and advanced TypeScript skills.

If you're outside the US

Deel, Kraken, and truelogic.io have the most geographically distributed teams. Doctolib is excellent for European candidates, and Bosch Group hires across multiple continents.

The February data shows a market that's not just growing but reshuffling. The surge from 4,858 to 5,420 active positions — an 11.6% monthly increase — suggests TypeScript demand is expanding into new industries and company types. Traditional engineering firms, defense contractors, and compliance platforms are now competing for the same talent as SaaS startups and crypto exchanges.
