Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality and a strong background in both front-end and back-end software testing, with a strong focus on automation tools and frameworks.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript, and Cucumber BDD
    • Develop and execute Web and API automation integrated with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
    • Design reusable automation components and drive COE-wide automation standards
    • Stabilize and optimize smoke, regression, and CI/CD test suites
    • Analyze test failures, provide root cause insights, and implement corrective actions
    • Promote automation best practices, standardization, and knowledge sharing
    • Support shift-left testing initiatives and adoption of AI-driven automation, modern QA practices to enhance efficiency (plus).

Basic Qualifications:

    • 6+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation
    • Strong experience in automation framework design for Web, API, and Mobile platforms
    • Hands-on expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, Cucumber BDD, Appium, or equivalent tools and frameworks
    • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure) and version control (Git)
    • Familiarity with TestRail, Jira, Confluence, REST APIs, GraphQL, SQL
    • Strong understanding of automation best practices, test design patterns, and reusable components
    • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across distributed teams
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • Knowledge of retail, e-commerce, or the pet industry is a plus
